Wyoming native serves as pastoral leader at Clintonville and Bear Creek parishes
GREEN BAY — Lincoln Wood tries to be as open to God's will as possible, which is a good approach considering the twists and turns his life and ministry have taken, especially in recent years.
Wood, a Wyoming native, attended the University of Wyoming for three years where he became very involved in the Newman Center on the Laramie campus. That experience fueled his interest in the priesthood. Benedictine Fr. Roger Schmit, who served at the Newman Center, suggested Conception Abbey in northwest Missouri.

Marinette school one of 14 NE Wisconsin schools to receive WPS grant
MARINETTE — Nikki Sotka and the St. Thomas Aquinas Academy (STAA) environmental science class received one of 14 Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) Foundation Innovative Educator Grants. The $1,000 award was used to purchase water quality monitoring kits to test rivers and streams near the Catholic high school. An additional donation to purchase a digital microscope and camera was made by the Wilde Family in memory of Marion Wilde.
With STAA located near the Bay of Green Bay, the Peshtigo and Menominee rivers, as well as their many tributaries, there are ample opportunities for water testing. Reflecting on stewardship aspects of the project, Michaela Nikolai, said, "This class has definitely changed my life. I care about the environment now. I pick up trash when I see it. I care for the water and think twice before being careless in how I treat the earth. This has impacted my life in a way I didn't know possible."
